Claudia Kolanovic Experiences a "Day in the Life of an Engineer"

Glen Cove's Claudia Kolanovic tried on the shoes of a mechanical engineer for her WISE project-and she loved walking in them. Planning to major in mechanical engineering at Lehigh University in the fall, this aspiring mechanical engineer got her start by interning with Matthew Hayduk, a mechanical engineer and GCHS alumnus.

Gabriella Agostaro Improves Special Education through Horse Therapy

For her WISE project, "Building an Understanding," Gabby Agostaro helped students with disabilities improve their social skills by taking them on a field trip to a therapeutic horse farm. Her WISE journey helped prepare both herself and the life skills kids for their next steps in life.

Hunter-Tannersville graduate Elijah Ruoff had an "aha" moment during his WISE project. "I have learned a lot about the automotive industry," he wrote in his final journal entry. "And I have decided that [being an auto-mechanic] is not the career choice for me."
